The Foundation Stage had a field day in the Multipurpose Hall as they sat down with their teachers where they could work in progress and create models and plans in the environment. They were supported by their teachers in thinking about what they want to make, the processes that may be involved and the materials and resources they might need. They were encouraged to take time to think about their coloring and painting. Resources for coloring, joining things together and combining materials, demonstrating where appropriate were also provided. The children had a great start to their fun week and were involved in active experiences which helped them to remember, think, make suggestions and ask questions to extend children’s ideas of what is possible.
